Former South Charleston and current University of Charleston standout Alli Burdette was named the co-pitcher of the week in the Mountain East Conference.
Burdette, along with West Virginia Wesleyan’s Sayaka Foley, shared the honor after both threw a no-hitter last week in league play.
A junior, Burdette threw a no-hitter against Glenville State at home on Sunday, pitching all six innings while striking out five and walking one.
On the season, Burdette is 12-2 with a 2.07 earned run average for UC, who is 24-7 overall and 13-3 in the MEC, tied for first place with Wesleyan.
