LEXINGTON, Ky. - BlueFrame Technology and the Mountain East Conference announced the release of the Mountain East Digital Network apps for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Roku devices on Tuesday.
The Mountain East Digital Network, the official streaming network of the MEC and its member schools, debuted on August 31.
"Internet-connected-device viewership has seen a steady increase in the past few years; providing these apps for the Mountain East puts them on the cutting edge of this growing trend," said Josh Braun, Director of Sales and Customer Service of BlueFrame Technology. "The Mountain East Conference apps make it easy to find and view conference content for Mountain East fans, whether it is live or on demand."
Customer broadcasts can be viewed on desktop, on mobile, and now on internet-connected television devices anywhere in the world. Broadcasts will be available for live, time-shifted from live (DVR), and on-demand viewing.
"We are extremely excited for our fans to have the ability to watch MEC content on such popular OTT apps," said Mountain East Conference Commissioner Reid Amos. "Now, in addition to being able to watch MEC games on computers or mobile devices, fans can also watch conveniently at home on television. We are committed to giving our fans a variety of options to take in MEC events."
