Fairmont State used great defense, including intercepting three passes, in knocking off Alderson Broaddus 16-3 on the road Thursday night to remain undefeated on the season.

Three different Alderson Broaddus quarterbacks were picked off as the Falcons (4-0) only allowed a third-quarter field goal.

Fairmont State could only muster one offensive touchdown, a 2-yard run by Rakeem Darden in the second quarter, but three field goals by Sam Keil were enough for the Falcons.

Cooper Hibbs was 18 for 28 passing for Fairmont State, totalling 159 yards through the air. Fabian Guerra caught six passes for 72 yards and Terrell Charles gained 108 yards on the ground on 18 carries.

Brandon Jones carried the ball 21 times for 94 yards to lead Alderson Broaddus (2-2).
