Will Roberts scored two goals to lead the University of Charleston, ranked No. 1 in the NSCAA Division II top 25 coaches poll, to a 2-0 win over Seton Hill Wednesday at Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Roberts scored on a penalty kick at 31:07 of the first half and added an insurance goal at 60:38 of the second half. Patrick Guier assisted on the second goal.
The Golden Eagle (5-0-0) had eight shots on goal, and keeper Fabian Viet had five saves to record the shutout. Next up for the Golden Eagles is Chowan University at home Saturday.
Seton Hill is now 2-3.

MARSHALL SOCCER: The Thundering Herd men's team lost a tight 1-0 road match to High Point (N.C.). With less than five minutes to go in the game, Ben Hietala of the Panthers headed in a pass from Siggi Benonysson for the game winner. High Point is 4-0-1. The Herd (3-3) plays UAB Saturday in a Conference USA matchup.

BASEBALL CAMPS: West Virginia State University coaches and players will hold one-day hitting, pitching and catching camps for ages 12 to 18 at the campus in Institute. The hitting camps will be held Oct. 15, a date to be announced in November and Dec. 5; the pitiching camps are Oct. 22 and Nov. 12; and the catching camps Oct. 29 and Nov. 19. WVU TECH HONORS: Matias Pazos of the men's soccer team and Carlina Bologna of the women's volleyball team were named WVU Tech Athletes of the Week. A native of Spain, Pazos scored two goals in a recent shutout of Shawnee State University. Bologna had a combined 15 kills in Tech's wins against the University of Cincinnati Clermont and Wright State Lake.

TENNIS CLINICS: The YMCA of Kanawha Valley will offer junior tennis clinics for ages 3 to 18 beginning Sept. 19 at the facility in Charleston.
The classes are for all skill levels and cover skills like movement, coordination and balance for younger participants and footwork, serving and volleying for older players.
